Getting To Your CCTV Training Course In London-Finsbury Park
Venue location
Cypriot Community Centre, Earlham Grove, London, N22 5HJ
Finsbury Park is an area towards the northern edge of Inner London, England, circling around an important railway interchange near the convergence of Islington, Haringey, and Hackney. The venue itself is a little north in Wood Green, which is a busy town with a sizeable shopping area with cinemas, bars, nightclubs, numerous restaurants and cafes, and a shopping centre close to the tube station.
By Train
The nearest train station is Alexandra Palace, 500m to the South West, however, if you are coming in via Euston station then an easier journey is by walking a short journey to Kings Cross St.Pancras and getting the Piccadilly line to Wood Green. Carry on your journey by foot to the venue.
By Taxi
To get either to the course or around the general area, it might be an idea to get a taxi, we recommend Wood Green Minicabs & Taxis a local independent company who are trustworthy and have courteous drivers. MINICAB are well reviewed with cheap and fast service, and friendly staff.
If you are coming in from a flight try Bowes Park Airport Transfer Taxi, they are considered reliable and top-class.
By Bus
The closest bus stop coming into where the venue is based can be found at Nightingale Road (Stop BQ), the bus services 121, 141, 232, 329, 629 and the Nightbus 29 all stop here.
By Road
If you are coming to the hotel in a car, let's say from Birmingham, you will want to follow the M6 and M1 to London, then take the Barnet By-Pass/Great N Wy./A1, N Circular Rd./A406 and Bounds Green Rd/A109 to Earlham Grove in Wood Green.
Parking
The best parking to be found in the immediate area Morrisons Car Park could be worth trying as it’s free for customers, it is said the directions and speed bumps are hazardous though.
The Mall West Car Park is just nearby, and is cheap, plus plenty of parking spaces for the convenience of the shopping centre.
Otherwise, we suggest using the JustPark app, to pre-book, as it is Trustpilot endorsed and has a number of local suggestions for the area.
Walkability
90/100 on Walk Score equals plenty of chances to walk around amongst the people and pick up the essentials that you will need while there.
Accommodation
If you plan on staying for a few days while your course is on then you might want to give Premier Inn London Tottenham Hale hotel a go, it’s £52 per night, which is not bad for a well-located trustworthy brand of hotel.
There’s another Travelodge London Whetstone option, north of the venue. Guests appreciate the friendly staff, and the management runs a good hotel it is said.
For a relaxed hostel, with an artsy vibe check out Green Rooms at only £28 it’s a steal.
Food
As you will have had an exhausting, if productive day, you will be peckish. Turkish food is popular here, Capital Restaurant Wood Green is a good place to pop in for a bite. The menu is decent and the food is not too pricey. Complementary salad and cream, hummus, and amazing bread. Serving great Mediterranean dishes for over 10 years.
For a touch of the exotic go to KOKORO Wood Green and sample the delights of Japanese cuisine. Perfect balance between price and quality, with homemade sushi and highly rated chicken katsu curry.
Or how about some Greek recipes Paneri Taverna will sort you out on that score. They serve a variety of mouth-watering family dishes including Souvla, Sheftalia, and the mezze platter.
You can also find chains such as Five Guys, KFC, and Nandos. With coffee shops of all sizes and styles to be found in the local area.
